‚Bird‘ was written between 2013 - 2017. Some of the songs were originally meant for various projects we were involved in.
After recording and touring our previous record ‚The Path‘ extensively it was time to enter new ways without rejecting what we did.
Lyric-wise it reflects different issues that surround me from social aspects to just random stuff that bother or interest me.
The title track ‚Bird‘ is about a jazz musician called Chet Baker who lost his ability to play his music and was forced to find
a new way to express himself. His mentor Charlie Parker said: ,Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom.
If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn. They teach you there’s a boundary line to music. But, man, there’s no
boundary line to art.’ This quote hit the nail square on the head, breaking the boundaries to create something new instead of doing
the same again and again. Thank you for your interest. This record is a co-release between I CORRUPT Records (GER), MIDDLE MAN Records (USA), IFB Records (USA) and NARSHARDAA Records (GER). Limited to 300 copies.
